Background
After graduating from the Faculty of Business Administration of Toyo University in 2001, Mr. Komaba worked in the financial systems division of an information technology company. In 2011, he passed the Japanese Patent Attorney Examination and joined a major patent firm, where he primarily engaged in acquiring and maintaining of domestic and international designs and trademarks, as well as giving lectures.
In 2026, Mr. Komaba joined Kyowa Patent and Law Office. His duties are acquiring and maintaining designs and trademarks for domestic and international clients, such as manufacturers in the machinery, food, and consumer goods industries. He is also an active member of the Japan Patent Attorneys Association.
