Background
After graduating from the Science Faculty (Physics) of Tokyo University of Science in 1986, Mr. Yoshiaki Kanno was registered as a patent attorney in 2001 and was registered as an infringement litigation representative in 2005. In 2011, he joined a patent firm in Tokyo, where he consulted in copyright matters, focusing on domestic and international rights acquisition for a variety of clients such as individual inventors, small and medium-sized parts manufacturers, and finished product manufacturers. In 2025, he joined Kyowa Patent Law Office. Actively engaged in intellectual property system design through external organizations such as the Japan Patent Attorneys Association, he joined the "Proposal for the Establishment of Electronic Publishing Rights" as the second chair of the Copyright Committee of the JPAA in 2011 and co-authored the "70 Selected Intellectual Property Cases for Practitioners" published for the 2006-2021 and the 2024 editions.
